Liz had a beautiful smile and when she would laugh it made you laugh too. She had a tough exterior but a heart of gold and would do anything for you. She loved to cook and she didn’t take no for an answer when she wanted to feed you. Her specialty was cheesecakes of any kind people would buy them from her. Liz made 26 cheesecakes as table decorations for her granddaughters wedding. A true labor of love.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 42 years, Bill Brake. They loved to dance, play cards with their friends and fish together. He died in 1996.
She is survived by her daughter Becky Morris and husband Gary, her granddaughter Sarah Alexander and husband J.W., her grandson Jerred Denton, and her “adopted” son Jerry Denton and his wife Pat.
She had many special people who she loved dearly.
The Family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the staff on 4 North at Shannon Hospital, the nurses at House of Hope and the people from Hospice of San Angelo who were able to keep her comfortable through a very difficult time.
Memorials can be made in Liz’s name to Hospice of San Angelo.
