Naomi was born in Holladay, Utah on august 27, 2910 to Franklin Tuttle Neff and Sienora Matilda Peterson. Naomi married Paul Symkoviak on September 15, 1937 in Salt Lake City; the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, October 14, 1949.
Naomi loved sewing and gardening, and in particular raising her roses. She and Paul were awarded the 1983 Civic Beautification Award by the Salt Lake Tribune. She enjoyed serving in her church and would attend the temple on a regular basis. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and a member of the Lone hollow ward, in Sandy, Utah.
Survivors: son Gary Paul (Maryann) Symkoviak; five grandchildren: Bryan (Michelle) Symkoviak, Steven (Angie) Symkoviak, Jeff Symkoviak, Cristy (Joel) Ertel and Michael (Christina) Symkoviak, Siblings: Velma Kendrick, Floyd Neff, and Dale Neff and ten great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her Husband Paul, her parents and siblings: Myrtle Neff, Mary Neff, Leslie Neff, Clinton Neff, Milton Neff, Leland Neff, and Wayne Neff.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21st at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 Highland Drive at 2:00 PM. Friends and family may call at the location from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
