When he left this world, he took a piece of our hearts with him.
Gary was born in Salt Lake City, he graduated from Highland High School and also attended a year at the University of Utah.
Gary owned and operated his own successful plumbing business, "Professional Drain Service" from 2002 until late 2017 when he was no longer able to work.
Gary loved camping at Lake Powell, had a passion for old Ford trucks, and enjoyed working on them.
He loved Old Rock, Old Country music, and of course sharing a Beer with his closest friends.
He also loved the Simpsons, "DOH!"
Gary's most valuable possessions were his 3 little Yorkie dogs (Lily, Demi, and Oscar).
He loved the simple home life, just spending time with his family.
Gary leaves behind his companion of more than 23 years Kathy Ward; mother Darlene Carpenter; father Steven Carpenter (Joan); sister Doralee Naylor; brother Terry Carpenter (Tricia); and brother Kevin Carpenter (Megan). He also had a special relationship with his brother- in- law Craig Graham.
Although Gary didnt have any children of his own, he loved and was loved by Kathy's children:
Brad Ward (Celeste); Kyle Ward; Alyssa Ward; Kayla Ward (Bryce).
He was also loved and admired by his five grandchildren: Avery, Krew, Ryker, Channing, and Kohen.
A celebration of life for Gary will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.wasatchlawn.com for the Carpenter family.
