Dale was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 11, 1963, to parents Phillip Gerald Sylvester and Marilyn Mabel Myers.
Prior to graduating from Brighton High school, he took pride in earning his Eagle Scout award, developing survival and community service skills he used throughout his life. He went on to work in construction, landscape, and snow removal. As much as he loved to watch the snow fly over the windshield as he plowed, nothing could compare to his passion for helping families find their dream home. After discovering this passion, he went on to work as a Realtor for over 30 years doing what he loved and building relationships that lasted a lifetime; no one was just a client.
Dale could often be spotted sporting Jazz and Raiders gear due to his lifelong love of both teams. At a young age, he also developed a love for camping and fishing at Trial Lake and visited often with family. He loved a good concert, but none more than Pearl Jam. His admiration for Eddie Vedder as a musician and as a human being, took him around the country as he enjoyed traveling to see him perform live on numerous occasions. He was a great fan of Guns ‘n Roses, Dead Kennedys, Jack White and most Punk Rock bands from the early days. He also loved to travel to the Oregon Coast for deep sea fishing or anywhere an NHRA drag race was being held.
Dale suffered from several afflictions which were limiting his activity choices in the past couple of years. We are relieved that he is not having to struggle with chronic pain and frustration any longer. He is at long-lasting peace.
More than anything, Dale loved his family. He is survived by his children Jenny (Kyle) Smith, Jeff (Brittany) Sylvester, and Katie Sylvester; wife Judy King Sylvester, whom he cherished; stepchildren Spencer (Lacey) King and Dylan King; and grandchildren Braxton, Skyler, Jaxon, Owen, Marshall, Atlas, Bronson, Addison, and Lily. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Phillip and Marilyn, and his brother, Jerry Sylvester.
