Pearl Arvie Cunningham

Pearl Arvie Cunningham, 85, of Parsonsburg, MD passed away at home on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Born December 11, 1930 in Wilbar, NC, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Griffin and Ira Murphy Pilkenton. Pearl was preceded in death in 2008 by her husband of 27 years, Raymond “Jack” Cunningham. She is survived by two sons, Ronald T. Mumford and wife Wilma, and Dennis W. Mumford; two granddaughters, Nicole Mumford, Michelle Bennett and husband Ward; two great-grandchildren, Dustin and Lauren Bennett; one great-great-grandson, Jordan Bennett; two sisters, Christina Wyatt, and Rose Miller (both of NC); several stepchildren and many loving family and friends. Pearl attended Line Church in Delmar and was a previous member of White Oak Baptist Church in NC. She loved her family and her fur friends. She grew up in Wilbar, NC on the family farm and later enjoyed yard sales and gardening. A Funeral Service will be held at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main Street, Salisbury, MD at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. Rev. Douglas Griffith will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens, Hebron, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pearl’s honor to the Wicomico County Humane Society, HSWC, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
