Joey served in the United States Army from 1986-1990 and then lived in Germany for the next 10 years where he met and married his wife of 30 years Petra. Upon returning to Gambrills he started working in communications until he retired in 2015. Along with his wife they moved to Tyaskin where he enjoyed pitching in wherever he was needed at the Red Roost and Boonies cooking, fishing, hunting, and generally making people laugh. He was also a member of the West Side Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Petra Muir; three children, Kevin Muir (Ashley Holmes), Jessica Muir (Bryan Trujillo), and Ben Muir; two grandchildren, Lucas and Kaleb Trujillo; sisters, Pam Donahue (Pat); Nancy White; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
