Gary Lee Brenner

Gary Lee Brenner, 86, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Bay Harbor Nursing Home formerly Genesis in Salisbury. Born June 27, 1938 in Salisbury he was the son of the late Ardie Lee and Beulah Brenner.

A pressman all his life, Gary enjoyed playing guitar and singing in Bluegrass bands in his spare time. He loved old cars especially his 55’ Chevy. Gary was always joking around and would always have a smile on his face.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Phyllis Ann Brenner; three children, Terry Rubin and her husband Len, Sandy Downes, and Gary Brenner, Jr. and his wife Kris; three step children, Tammie King, Richard Stigall and his wife Farrah, and Wendy Bradley; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon Brenner and his wife Lynn; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson.

A visitation will be held Monday evening from 4pm-6pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury.
