Barbara A. Griffe, 92, of Milton, DE and formerly of Richland, PA passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Atlantic Shore Rehab and Healthcare Center in Millsboro, DE. Born June 27, 1932 in Lebanon, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Minnie Weigley Kapp.
Barbara was a member of Grace United Church of Christ of Richland. She worked as a sewing machine operator for over 40 years. She enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals and was an avid Tennis fan. An avid reader she loved to knit.
She is survived by her son, Richard Griffe and his wife Barbara; her daughter, Karen and her husband Dale; grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Doug, and Liesa; great-grandchildren, Katie and Kyle; several nieces and nephews; and two sister-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Griffe in 2001.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, November 4 at 11am at Richland Cemetery in Richland, PA. Pastor Bruce Farrell will officiate.
