Anna Elizabeth “Betty” Baker, 92, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born October 16, 1932 in Pittsville she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys Hamblin Jones.
Betty graduated from Pittsville High School in 1950 and Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She retired from PRMC in 1988 where she was employed for 34 years. She was a member of the PRMC Junior Board Auxiliary, PGH Alumni Association, Paul Harris Fellow, Trinity United Methodist Church, former Alter Guild at Trinity United Methodist Church, and AARP.
After retiring, she enjoyed a life filled with world travel and summers in Ocean City with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Stevenson, grandson, Kyle Stevenson and his partner, Alexa Gaines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman T. Baker and granddaughter, Ashley C. Stevenson.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment in Parsons Cemetery will be private.
