Marlis Cecelia Ostlund passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024. She was born on June 30, 1931 in Sanish, North Dakota to Nels and Louise (Pickar) Sattergren. The family moved to Portland, Oregon in 1946. Marlis and her identical twin Mavis graduated from Washington High School in 1949. Marlis married Leslie Norman Ostlund in 1954. His career in the U.S. Air Force took the family to Oregon, Alaska, Texas, and California. Upon retirement from the Air Force, they settled in Keizer, Oregon.
She was a long-time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Keizer where she was active for many years in the quilting circle and community meal service program. She loved gardening, sewing, visiting her large, extended family, and spending time with her darling granddaughter Leslie.
Marlis was preceded in death by her beloved husband Les, her parents, her sister Mavis, and brothers Raymond, Robert, and Douglas. She is survived by her three children, Mavis Jean (Charlie) Vandelicht, Denise (John) Barratt and Bryan (Lisa) Ostlund, and her granddaughter Leslie (Andrew) Ostlund Hudson.
