Greg was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Daniel and Phyllis Morley while his father was in college and the family returned to Salem, Oregon when Greg was two years old. He graduated from McNary High School in 1968 and shortly afterward joined the Air Force where he proudly served in Vietnam and Korea. He got out of the Air Force and attended Chemeketa Community College in the law enforcement program. Greg joined the U.S. Army where he achieved the rank of Captain, as well as numerous other awards and ribbons. Upon retiring from the Army in 1990, Greg resided in Sierra Vista, Arizona where he worked at All Custom Firearms. Greg also was a volunteer firefighter in Tucson, Arizona. Greg married Sylvia Woods in Tucson on December 30th 1993. In 1996 Greg and Sylvia moved the family to Salem where they still reside. Greg worked as a carpet tech. at Culbertson’s Cleaning service from 1996 until his diagnosis. Greg and Sylvia spent their time at Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum and were members of the Willamette Valley Street Rods. Greg was proceeded in death by his mother Phyllis in 1990. Greg is survived by his wife Sylvia and children Sarah Hancock ( Puyallup Wa.), John Morley ( Salem) Erin Lang ( Dallas Or. ), Amanda Morley (Phoenix AZ.), Meshach Casey( Omaha NE.) and three grandchildren. Parents Daniel and Patty Morley. Brothers Rick Morley, Kent Morley and Curtis Morley and numerous friends and other family members around the Salem area. There will be a celebration of life Saturday April 7th at 1 pm at Open Gate Church of the Nazarene 4855 Bailey Rd Keizer ,Oregon 97303. All who knew Greg are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family at the service. .
