Gerrad Michael Barker

Gerrad Michael Barker passed away February 24th, 2024 in Salem, Oregon. He was born July 1st, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV to Shawn Barker and Andrea Lamare(formerly Barker). His life long dream which was said during his kindergarten graduation was to own a farm and one cow. In 2006 along with his dad and sister, Caylynne, Gerrad moved to Keizer, OR where his dad is originally from. Gerrad went to McNary High School, class of 2012, and received his GED shortly afterwards. From a very young age he was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and religiously watched and rooted for his team! In 2018 he got connected with Oxford House and helped with opening a house out in Keizer. During this time he also started his landscaping career and gave his life to the Lord by being baptized. Everyone who met and knew Gerrad always talked about his joking personality and big goofy smile that no one will forget. We love and miss you Gerrad!

Gerrad is survived by his dad and step mom, Shawn and Cherry Barker, of Keizer, OR Mom and step dad, Andrea and Scott Lamare, of Reno, NV sister and brother in law, Caylynne and David Bartel nieces Megan and April Bartel of Salem, OR sister and brother in law Cameryn and Don Boatwright of Nevada, MO brother Alexander Lamare of Nevada, MO step sister, Adrienne Lamare, and step brother Nick Lamare of Warren, PA. Gerrad was also loved in life by his Grandma Darlene Cordell, Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his Papa in 2014 and Gramms in 2020.
