Evelyn Mae Reynolds Jones-Keller

Evelyn, one of eleven children, was raised on a farm in Bristol, Colorado the first 18 years of her life and graduated from Granada High School in 1950. She moved to Salem, Oregon where she married Robert Leroy Jones on April 11, 1953. Evelyn was a dedicated, hard worker who began her work history at Boise-Cascade in Salem, OR where she worked for 15 years from 1953-1968. She provided excellent in-home child care for over 25 years from 1968-1982 and again from 1996-2008 where she influenced the lives of many impressionable children. She was owner of The Office Tavern in Salem from 1982-1987 and worked at The Triangle and The Can-Can Taverns before retiring in 2008.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lillian Reynolds; brothers, Clarence, Donald, Howard, and Duane; and sister, Hazel. She is survived by brothers, Russell, Leroy, Charles, Eldon, (Evelyn’s twin brother) and Robert; sons, Barry, Renny, Ronny, Jeffrey, and Gary; daughters, Linda, Vicki, and Kandice; 13 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be provided on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 12:00 - 4:00 pm with services on November 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm, both at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Belcrest Memorial Park. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
