Leonid Gutin

Leonid Gutin of Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of the late Faina and a devoted father to Gregory, Julie, and Nonna. Leonid was a proud grandfather to Zhenya, Michael, Ilan, Phillip, Victoria, and Alex. He was also the loving brother of the late Vladimir and the dear son of the late Gregory and Asya.

Born and raised in Minsk, Belarus, Leonid began his family there before immigrating to the United States in 1989, settling in the North Shore of Massachusetts.

A man of vibrant energy, Leonid enjoyed staying active throughout his life. He was passionate about winter swimming, tennis, rollerblading, and ice skating, and continued to participate in these activities well into his later years.

Leonid’s family was the center of his life, and he deeply treasured the time spent with loved ones. He will be remembered as a proud and devoted grandfather, as well as a kind, caring, and energetic individual.

A funeral service will be held in his memory on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, located at 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970. Interment will follow at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 89 Lake Shore Road, Lynn, MA 01904.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leonid's memory to Nonna Druker at 38 Ralph Road, Marblehead, MA 01945.
