Jane S. Rosenberg

Jane Rosenberg of Gloucester, Massachusetts, entered into rest on September 25, 2024 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Bruce Rosenberg. Devoted mother of Amy Rosenberg (Greg Manousos), Daniel Rosenberg (Amy), and Joshua Rosenberg (Alexandra Furth). Cherished grandmother of Emma Fellenbaum, Mari Fellenbaum, Jonah Rosenberg, and Elena Rosenberg. Dear daughter of the late Max and Julia Saltzman.

Born in Pittsfield, Jane grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, graduated from Wheelock College, and raised her family in Gloucester. Jane was a lifelong educator, teaching elementary school in Cleveland and working with students with different learning abilities in the Gloucester public schools. She was active in many local organizations, including Hammond Castle, Bass Rocks Golf and Tennis Club, Temple Ahavat Achim, and Wellspring. Jane was an avid and talented gardener, passionate pianist and singer, appreciator of art, master apple pie baker, and enthusiastic tennis player and golfer (including getting a hole-in-one in two different states). She loved Good Harbor Beach, except for the water temperature. Jane maintained many long friendships and could often be found at the center of a party.

A graveside service for Jane will be held on Friday, September 27, at 3 PM at Mount Jacob Cemetery, 96 Fernald Street, Gloucester. A gathering to remember Jane will follow the service at Jane and Bruce’s home until 8 PM.
