Barbara R. (Flanzbaum) Meyer, of Swampscott, formerly of Lake Worth, FL, entered into rest on Monday morning, December 23, 2024 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Marvin Meyer. Devoted mother of Mark & Karen Meyer of Marblehead and Debra & Marc Feinson of Wayne, NJ. Beloved grandmother of Mara & Jonathan Epstein and Ricki Meyer & Ariel Hecht. Cherished great grandmother of Hannah, Lily, Eli & Jonah. Loving sister of the late Ronna Miles and dear daughter of the late Edward & Shirley (Abrams) Flanzbaum.

Barbara grew up in Revere, graduated in 1945 from Revere High School and raised her family in Marblehead. She was a dedicated member of Congregation Shirat Hayam in Swampscott, Past President of the Garden Club and a devoted member of Hadassah and B’nai Brith. She enjoyed playing bridge, mahjong and traveling the world with her husband Marvin. Barbara cherished her time spent with family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Congregation Shirat Hayam Cemetery, Temple Israel Section, 506 Lowell Street, Peabody, MA. Memorial Observance will be held at The Residence of Vinnin Square, 224 Salem Street, Swampscott following the interment from 2-6 PM only. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
