No one individual had more influence on my business career than Mr. Bick and because of that deep respect I had for him, I never called him "Frank".  

I grew as an entrepreneur and sports personality in St. Louis and even around the country because he was always behind me with his checkbook and his sage advice. I wanted him to be proud of my accomplishments and I think he was.  We will miss him, and our sympathies to Pat and family.  Greg Marecek

Frank and his father were very dear to my Mother, Miriam Tracy Duffy who was Frank's first cousin and my grandmother, who was Frank's father's sister, Alberta. Mom and Nana were very proud of Frank's accomplishments.

Frank Bick was a business associate of my late husband who also became a friend.  Like my husband, Frank Bick was a true original -- a real character in the best sense of the word! His humour, his kindness, his generousity, his style,  his originality and his integrity will be sorely missed.

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Bick's passing. He and Howard gave me my first opportunity in sales as an Advertising Major from Mizzou. Those were great times and we all learned a lot from Frank. He was the definition of the word "boss". He was his own man.
As Charlie Wiegert mentioned , he was a very generous person with a sometime hard exterior but a soft heart. I always respected him. My deepest sympathy to Pat and the Bick Family.
He was one of a kind.

Frank, you will be missed. I always admired you and I enjoyed our conversations. May the Lord be with you and the family.

So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy to all of his family. He was a good man. I remember years ago he would barbeque steaks for us as we were swimming in the pool and having a few beers.

Very sorry about your loss.  Frank was a great man and a good friend to our family.  He will be missed.  The Klimt's.

As one of many who worked for Frank at the Suburban Journals, we were honored and lucky to have him as "The Boss".  He was a great person, and someone we all learned a lot from, although we might not have realized it at the time.   I'll never forget him chasing me around the conference table trying to get my ads in our strike additions, plus many other memories.  Many did not know of his compassion, and he tried to hide it, but he was a very compassionate person.  The weasel will miss him!

In the summer of 2012, Charlie Wiegert and I went to visit Frank. We reminisced about the "good days". We both enjoyed seeing him again and were reminded of his unique talents and energies. Tom Marschel

To Pat, their family, the Bick Family and all the children to whom he meant so much, accept our deepest sympathy on news of Frank's passing.   

Louie and Georgia Buckowitz, were friends with Frank and his loved ones for over sixty years living not far away from the newspaper offices off of Cherokee Street.  "Uncle" Louie, a politician for life, and Georgia, the mediator between the two of them, spent many times together sometimes arguing politics and baseball games but always remaining friends. "Uncle" Frank, as I was told to address him as a child, influenced me in many ways in my love for writing and use of communication skills and always reading newspapers.

Our children Rachel and Matt Rankin also knew Frank as "uncle" and though many years have passed still remember those times spent together.

There will surely be a great lightening strike above when "Uncle" Louie and Frank meet and Georgia will be there as their mediator.
