Carl was the cherished son of the late Arthur A. and Margaret (nee' McDonnell) Rausch; the beloved husband of Donna (nee' Litzsinger) Rausch; the loving father of Kimberly (Shurman) McLaughlin, Christopher (Denice) Rausch, Karen (Brian) Eufinger, and Craig (Julie) Rausch; and the cherished grandfather of Emily McLaughlin, Kennedy San, Joseph McLaughlin, Brad, John and Jacob Rausch, Whitney Eufinger and Emma Hanrahan. He was a dear friend to many, including the Kriegshauser West Mortuary family.
Carl met Donna while they both worked at Ozark Air Lines and, as they say, the rest is history. Throughout his career, Carl was a salesman, first, last, and always, and a very accomplished one at that. Carl sold different products and services for large companies, small companies, and in his own business, but always a salesman. He loved to sell and work one-on-one with customers, many of whom became long-standing friends over the years. Over the course of his working career, he built many lasting relationships.
Carl served in the Missouri Air National Guard. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Scottish Rite and Moolah Shriner. He created many beautiful stained glass works of art that the family will always cherish.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 4-8pm at Kriegshauser West Mortuary 9450 Olive Blvd. 63132. A second visitation will be Friday January 26 from 9:30-10:30am at Little Flower Catholic Church 1264 Arch Terrace 63117, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Interment at Bellefontaine Cemetery St. Louis MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the APA (Animal Protective Association) https://apamo.org/ are greatly appreciated. The family wants to extend their heartfelt gratitude to longtime friend, Gail Turner. Please leave a message of condolence or a cherished memory of Carl at www.kriegshausermortuary.com
