Our beloved Leo William Tufo passed away at the age of 80, on February 25, 2023. Loving father to JoAnn Louise Tufo and Diane Lynn Dienell. Cherished grandfather to Timothy Leo Allala. Very proud father-n-Law to Grant Dienell and step grandfather to Jordan Dienell and Tyler Dienell that he shared as his close family. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio (Anthony) Tufo and Johanna Maria Rose Tufo (Corsini). Leo was raised in Revere, Massachusetts and was the youngest of 12 siblings. He was known with his fun chats and memories of Revere when meeting others from the area.
Leo at 20 years old enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served for over 28 years. Leo was cited for honors and publicly recognized graduating the top of his class with the Military. He was extremely intelligent and know for his math skills, vocabulary, and handyman knowledge. He could come up with any unusual word to easily describe his feelings or thought on a subject. It was no secrete he had his political views and stayed on top of current events each day. Mostly, Leo was very giving, caring and stayed discreet about his willing to assist. Earlier years Leo spent his extra time with community service helping. One period was with the mental disable to earn money through recycling. He renovated homes in Jacksonville, FL adding bathrooms, all appliances and included closing costs selling very little above costs to families in need. He was known to drop anything to assist driving friends to places and appointments they needed. If there was something someone needed Leo was willing to step in and help with no reservations.
Leo will be very much missed and was loved. His witty personality with dry humor will always be remembered. He never presented himself as fancy, materialistic as he was a simple, kind man that cared for many and doing the right thing in life.
