Florence Ruth Baron

Florence Ruth Baron, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, September 28th, 2024 at the age of 95. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Edmund Baron, her daughters Patricia Goodsell, and Marie Dall’acqua, her sons Fred Baron, Joe Baron, and John Baron. Florence has fourteen grandchildren, (Brian, Andrew and, Patrick Goodsell); (Brandon and Jason Dall’acqua), (Sarah and Amelia Baron); (Jadyn and Jake Baron); (Harrison, Sydney, Carter, Chloe, and Jack Baron), and 4 great grandchildren (Rhodes and Tilden Dall’acqua, Mavrick Dall’acqua, and Patton Goodsell).

A proud native of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Florence Baron graduated from Bryant College with a degree in accounting, and married her husband Edmund in May of 1954. Florence always put the needs of her family before her own. She enjoyed traveling, supporting Ed in his law practice as his secretary and bookkeeper, and raising her five children. She always found time to spend time with the grandchildren. Her favorite pastime included cooking and baking for her family, shopping especially for baby clothes for her grandchildren, hosting family gatherings, and keeping a beautiful home. Florence will be deeply missed by the entire family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a wake on Wednesday evening from 5:30pm-8pm, at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home (1285 St Johns Pkwy, Saint Johns, FL 32259).

Interment will be held at 10:30am at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL).
