Walt passed away peacefully at home October 14, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Kriss for 38 wonderful years. Loving father of Terri (Joe) Marshall and Tracy Weatherwax. Loving grandpa to Casey (Melissa), Jane and Allene Marshall; Katie, Bobby (Nelly) and Michael (Leti) Weatherwax. Loving great grandpa to Joe Jr., Madi, Michael Jr. and Otto. Loving brother-in-law to Tim (Kathleen) Dom and Gary (Elizabeth) Dom; uncle to Charles. He also leaves behind many beloved cousins. He will also be missed by Lily, his beloved dog that was always by his side. Walt retired in 1984 after many years working for Sacramento County Animal Control. For many years he enjoyed pitching softball, trap shooting, golf, and in later years, morning walks with his friends in Tahoe Park. Per his wishes graveside services only will be on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Elk Grove Cemetery, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd. Elk Grove, CA 95624.
