Lou Avila passed away on December 12, 2023 while surrounded by family members. Lou was loved dearly by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, one son-in-law and two daughters, Lynette Miller and Lisa Kellison. Lou leaves behind his wife, Toni Avila, brother, Tony Avila, sister-in-law Jessie Avila, daughters Laura Warnecke and Leeann Huffman, sons Stephen Avila and Bobby Hintz, step-sons Jess and Justin VanWinkle, son-in laws Tony Huffman, Rick Warnecke and Kenny Miller, daughter-in-laws Stephanie Avila and Debbie Hintz and many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And not to be forgotten, Casey, his shih tzu who he adored and brought him tremendous happiness and love. Lou was born in Castroville California, was raised in Lincoln California and lived the last 40 years in Carmichael, California. He worked more than sixty years as a barber earning the friendship of a multitude of longtime friends. Lou enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing golf (until the last couple of years), spending time in the sun and watching almost any sport on television. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
