Joseph Raymond Roberts

Joseph Raymond Roberts born September 13, 1980, passed away on Aug 17, 2021 at Kaiser South in Sacramento, Ca. Youngest son of Gregg and Rebecca (Vassar) Roberts originally of Davis, Ca. Joseph brothers to, Jason, Mark, Hunter and Niche; Brother in law to Chris, Uncle to Rene, Maxwell, Jacquelyn, Andrew, Benjamin, Madelyn. Joseph was born Sept 13, 1980 in Sacramento, Ca. He lived with his family in South Sacramento until the age of 13, when his father relocated them to Elk Grove, Ca. Joseph attended Elk Grove High School, graduating class of 2000. Joseph worked for The BOX store in Elk Grove for a couple years as a manager. In 2004 Joseph was engaged to Sandra, who developed brain cancer more than halfway through her pregnancy with twin girls, Joseph lost all three of them in April 2004. He began working at The UPS Store in Elk Grove, and excelled with the company for 8 years before leaving. Joseph met his wife, Jennifer, in 2009. They began exclusively dating in late 2010. They had a daughter, Rebecca, in June 2012 and wed in Oct 2012. Joseph started with Amazon at the New Sacramento warehouse just after his daughter started Kindergarten in 2017. Joseph enjoyed the joys and frustration with working for such a large company, he even relocated to Spokane, Washington between June 2020 and February 2021 before returning to Sacramento, Ca. Joseph was an dedicated worker and strived whole heartedly to provide for his wife and daughter, and even help out his in-laws. Joseph wanted to take his daughter on a trip down the California coast before school started in Aug. Sadly, Joseph contracted COVID and developed pneumonia. He was admitted to the hospital at the end of July and he passed while in the ICU. So many of those that knew him, can remember the loving, caring and sometime jokester that he was. He is now reunited with his mom, Becky, and the other family members who passed before him. Joseph will be sincerely missed by all of those who loved him.
