Grant Wesley Hoffman

Grant was born on November 7, 1990, at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, California, to Kevin and Lisa Hoffman. He grew up in Curtis Park and in South Land Park Terrace. He attended Crocker Riverside Elementary, Sutter Middle School, C.K. McClatchy (CKM) High School and Sacramento City College. A true local Sacramento kid.

Grant was a Cub Scout in Troop 37. He played for many years in the Land Park Pacific Little League and played Junior Varsity baseball at CKM. He played basketball in the Pocket/Land Park NJL League. He was a loyal fan of the Sacramento Kings, San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers and will be remembered for his “Let’s Go!” shouting at the television. Every Sunday during football season he would roll up at 9 A.M. and we would watch and eat all day long. So thankful he got to see his beloved Giants win the World Series in 2010, 2012 and 2014. He was thrilled.

As a child and young man, Grant enjoyed spending time with family and friends, swimming in the family pool, skate boarding, playing basketball on the hoop at home, playing catch, football, riding bikes, video games, swinging from the tree swing, jumping on the trampoline, playing corn hole, ping pong, family trips to Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, neighborhood block parties and 4th of July celebrations. He loved going to concerts and hearing his favorite local bands.

Grant was employed as a Supervisor at Pet Extreme for four years and as a Program Technician for the State of California for six years.

Grant loved and adored his beautiful 11-month-old daughter Giselle “GiGi,” whose bright eyes, smile and giggle were the light of his life.

Grant had the kindest heart, quick smile and a vast knowledge of all things music, sports, comedians and movies. He was a gentle soul who loved animals, especially his big grey cat Binxy Boy who he is now reunited with.

He is survived by his parents, his daughter Giselle, his sister Paige, Grandmother Irene Hoffman, numerous aunts and uncles and beloved cousins and dear friends. He is predeceased by Grandparents James and Dolores Berry, Grandfather Robert Hoffman, cousins Paul Buchach and Haylee Ponte.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Riverside Clubhouse, 2633 Riverside Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95818. Please come share your favorite stories and memories of Grant.
