Cynthia was born on March 5, 1933 to Edward and Sadie Woo in San Francisco. Cynthia had the honor of winning the title of Miss Chinatown in San Francisco in 1950. She was one of the youngest women to win the title at that time.
After graduating from C.K. McClatchy High in 1951, Cynthia went on to work at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Sacramento.
In 1955, she met Peter Louie, and they wed on April 21,1957, going on to have one daughter, Lynne. When Cynthia had Lynne, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother and loving wife. When Cynthia became a grandmother, she extended her generosity, love, and caring to her three grandchildren, Bryan, Brandon, and Tiffany.
Cynthia loved creating handmade Christmas tree ornaments, wrapping elaborate birthday and Christmas presents, and sharing her creations with her family. She enjoyed traveling, trying new cuisines, but loved spending time with her family the most. We will miss her greatly.
Cynthia was predeceased by her father Edward, mother Sadie, and older brother Kenneth. She is survived by her husband, Peter, daughter Lynne, son-in-law Charles Luu, grandchildren Bryan, Brandon, and Tiffany Luu; sister-in-law Patricia Woo; brother and sister-in-law Merrill and Linnet Fong.
