Connie passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 after a long battle with illness and dementia. Connie was born on December 8, 1930 and lived her entire life in the Sacramento area. She attended Grant Union High School and in her early 20’s met the love of her life, Notch Parino. The two were married on October 21, 1951. They had two wonderful sons, Nick and Sam. Connie was an incredible mother and was active in her church throughout her adult life. She was known throughout the neighborhood for her caramel apples and her family treasured her homemade pies, authentic Mexican cooking and her hand-made ravioli. She was adored by her grandchildren - Daniel, Caitlin, Nicky, Joey and Isabelle - upon whom she doted, and she was a role model to her daughter-in-laws, Mari and Cheryl. Notch and Connie were married for 65 years and to the very end were completely devoted to each other. The two will be remembered by all who knew them for the love they shared with each other and those around them. While her family is thankful Connie is no longer suffering, this beloved wife, mother and grandmother will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or All Hallows Church. A memorial service will be held at All Hallows Church, 5501 14th Ave, Sacramento, on Friday, June 2nd at 11:00 am.
