Annie, as her friends called her, was born July 28, 1919, to Robert Brightman, from England and Alice Merle Emmans, from Mattawan Michigan.
She is survived by her only daughter Donna Posadas Swindell, her son-in-law Aurelio Posadas, her grandsons Robert Anthony Posadas, Joseph Aurelio Posadas, and her granddaughter Rachel Ann Posadas Lane and her husband Joshua Lane. She has 3 great grandchildren, Grace Araceli Posadas O’Leary, Angelina Lane, and David Joshua Lane.
Annie worked as a housewife and mother most of her life. She was a creative person who enjoyed watercolor painting and was often seen working at her craft. She loved to be outside painting trees and water, mountains, and forests. She painted what she saw. She enjoyed sharing her work, giving away many of her pictures to friends and church members.
She was a devoted Christian woman who worked as Sunday School teacher, and mentor to Young Christian women. She was always ready to help anyone who was in need. She took in foster children, and any family members. She was not wealthy woman but there was always room and food at the table for one more.
She loved to sing and had a strong, clear soprano voice. She loved to sing praises to God and was often heard singing even in her last days through the halls of the nursing home where she lived. She loved parties. She hosted many parties for the church. There was food and laughter for her large church family. There was always singing. Many times, the singing went on long after midnight. The church singing praises to God. How beautiful.
She was and is a woman of God. Those who knew her here were blessed.
