Her wife, Liz Linale of 19 years was at her side along with her close friend John who helped Anna through her long battle with cancer. She is survived by her sister Carole Del Mul and her husband Carl Affarian.
We are so grateful to Carole and Carl for their support and generosity. We are very fortunate to have families and friends who supported us since her battle began in 2017. Our two great nieces Hannah and Gemma brought so much love and laughter to Anna. They were so special to her.
She was born in Roseville, MI to Giovanna and Isidoro Del Mul. Anna had true friends whom she grew up with, and they have always been there for her. Anna’s friends enjoyed the Italian hospitality her parents provided.
Anna loved to travel and her last trip was to the Galápagos Islands with her sister.
Anna had many passions. At an early age she was a florist, but she also became a professional bread baker and pastry chef. She was admired for her creativity within the industry.
Her final career choice was to be a math and science teacher. She loved her students and the faculty she worked with.
Finally, she created such a wonderful home for us to live in, and Liz was lucky enough to enjoy her cooking, baking, desserts and her beautiful garden.
Donations in Anna’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to a charity of your choice.
A celebration of Anna’s life will be held in the early summer.
