Jane Louise Jacques

Jane Louise Jacques, age 37, of Peru, passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 17, 2014 and went to be with her Lord and Savior, with two Angels of Mercy, Theresa Prue and Kevin Prevost by her side.

She was born in Rumford, Maine on December 23, 1976 a daughter of J. Norman Jacques and J. Louise (Dumoulin) Smith.

Jane attended St. Athanasius and St. John Catholic School until the 6th grade, Peru Elementary School and graduated from Dirigo High School Class of 1995.

Jane was employed as a home care giver to families in Rumford, Dixfield, Mexico, Byron and Peru.

She was an active member of the Praise Assembly of God Church in Rumford.

Jane had a big heart and loved life. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are father J. Norman Jacques of Jay; mother, J. Louise Smith of Rumford; uncles, Rev. Marcel L. Dumoulin of Lisbon, Robert J. Dumoulin of Peru, and Louis R. Jacques and wife Barbara of Florida; aunts, Pauline Fournier of Livermore Falls, Patricia Doiron and husband Edward of Jay, Theresa Pomeroy of Livermore Falls, Ann Hammond and husband Barry of Breton, ME, and Celina Gay and husband Brent of Livermore Falls; a special cousin Michael LeBlanc of Washington, ME; best friend Erica Jamison of Peru; step family, brothers, Steven Smith and wife Jean of Peru, David Smith and wife Dana of California, and Gary Smith and wife Nora of Maryland, sister Cheryl Nokes and husband Stephen of Peru.

She was predeceased by her grandparents Leo and Marie Paule Dumoulin, and Rosario and Celina Jacques, and a stepfather Lloyd H. Smith.
