Our beloved Drew Everette McKenna was born on December 27, 1998 in Farmington Maine. He was the youngest son of Laurie and Mark McKenna of Rumford Center. Drew is survived by his mother Laurie (Gaul) McKenna, his father Mark A. McKenna, sister Deanna McKenna, brothers Heath McKenna and Shay McKenna, in addition to Drews many aunts, uncles, and friends. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Lawrence and Evelyn Gaul and paternal grandparents Ruth and Everette McKenna.
Drew was a 2017 graduate of Mountain Valley High School. He was an honor student, and played football throughout his high school years. He was an exemplary student, teammate and friend.
After earning his high school diploma, Drew started his career working alongside his father at the families business, Quality Fence Company. In the winter months he worked for the families Christmas tree and wreath business. He also worked at The Matterhorn Ski Bar as a security guard. Drew helped his family with their rescue animals and daily chores. He cherished the families pets which included the cats, dogs, and birds. He had the amazing ability to create laughter and fun in any situation, and was a tremendous help to his family.
Drew was an avid weightlifter at the GRCC in Rumford. He could be found there 5-6 days a week exceeding personal goals and enjoying the comradery of like minded people who became his friends. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle in the nice weather. His destinations were vast but always brought him to scenic places, the beauty only nature can provide. Drew had a love and respect for all animals. He appreciated the joy that they brought into his life. He also enjoyed yearly camping trips to Hermits Island with his family.
Drew was kind to everyone he met. His mesmerizing smile illuminated a room, he had a positive outlook on life, excellent work ethic, the ability to make people happy by just being his authentic self, an insatiable love for life and the adventures it brought him. He was handsome, strong, funny, he was loved beyond measure, the light and sunshine of his families life. He was Drew and the world was a better place because he was in it. May his bright light continue to shine in all that love him. Forever our sunshine, you will be endlessly missed, until we meet again.

Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Thursday, January 5 at the Thibault Remembrance Center, 250 Penobscot Street, Rumford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Friday, January 6 at the ST. ATHANASIUS & ST. JOHN Church, 126 Maine Avenue, Rumford
