She was born in Rumford, Maine on September 20, 1913 a daughter of Joseph E. and Rose (Comeau) Arsenault.
Alma was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School.
She was employed as a secretary for Waldo Insurance Agency for many years.
Alma was a communicant of the Holy Savior. She was a life member of the LeParesseux Snowshoe Club and VFW Auxillary.
She loved cats and would often take in strays.
Alma enjoyed playing cribbage and going out to eat.
Surviving are her three nieces, Georgianna Arsenault of Portland, Therese Arsenault of Rumford, Margaret Arsenault and companion Jim Littlefield of Jay; two nephews, Benny Arsenault and wife Shirley of Rumford, and Anthony Arsenault and wife Kathy of Kingston, N.Y.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Pearl H. Howard, two brothers, Aurele Arsenault and Urbain J. Arsenault.
