Leanne, Rachel and Amanda. Words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Randy and I spent so many hours together riding to softball tournaments and hanging out around the hotel pool after games talking about hunting and the Dawgs. He was a great friend and will never be forgotten. Christy and I are thinking about you every day and praying for your comfort. 

Randy was the master bad jokes . Yet when he told them they were always funnier than they were supposed to be. Every hunting season I would ask "Randy when am I getting some rabbit or deer"? With pride  and in the subtle voice, big grin and funny chuckle he would say" Bernetha you got to wait until hunting season."". My friend you are dearly going to be missed. But at least now you can enjoy  year round hunting. May God keep you hand-in-hand.

To the Dennis Family,

I give my sincere condolences. I am one of many who worked with Randy through the years at the AOC. I do remember on one occasion meeting one of the girls at an AOC baseball outing some years ago. We walked from the office to Turner Field on a very warm day. Randy walked with his daughter exchanging laughs and jokes. I will always remember him with that infectious smile he had when he looked at her. He was so proud of his children. I pray that God’s peace engulfs your hearts and heal your pain. I have no doubt Randy was telling a joke here. Randy you will truly be missed.

Randy, you will be missed by Many!  I remember meeting you, Mike and Chloe at the Department of Audits and Accounts back in 1999.  I remember being called on board at Department of Community Affairs because of all the Federal programs.  Bob and his mapped together general ledger LOL.  I worked with you at the AOC and loved it!  You will always be a part of my life, professionally as a mentor and great friend (who always made me laugh).  I am blessed that you and Leanne were able to attend my wedding!  Seeing both of you met SOO much!  I had one table of work friends :)  Happy you were there and now you are in a safe place above us all in heaven.  Miss you my dear friend!

I remember Randy, my youngest cousin, as being a bundle of energy always looking for fun.  He was only a boy then and we last met 40 years ago but everything I heard about him over the years and his lovely family suggests he retained the energy and sense of fun. Leanne and Family, I just wanted to let you know how very sorry we were to hear of Randy's passing.  Waring and I just celebrated our 29th anniversary, and can't imagine the sorrow you are experiencing.  Reading through the many memories people left, looking at the photos, I feel as if I knew him. Randy was a good man who loved his family.  When you talked with him, it was like you knew each other for years.  He was sincere, gentle, funny and loveable.  We enjoyed our time with him and Leanne at Shepherd's Christmas parties and the lake.  He'll be missed tremendously. I met Randy in the 90's through a mutual friend. One night around '99, shortly after my second son was born, I showed him a picture of him. Randy, in typical laughing Randy fashion remarked (with big eyes):
"OOOH, look at the head on that one!"
I will never forget that night or his hilarious comment. In all honesty, my son did have a large head but it was Randy's comment that stuck to that picture forever. I still hear him say that whenever I see that photo.
I miss you, brother.

Randy's father was my boss and mentor at GRC (presently Roosevelt Institue).  His mother was a friend with whom I shared adventures such as learning to belly dance.  I knew all three of the "boys", and saw how devoted to their famly they all were.  This tragedy has touched so many, and we will probably never understand the whys and wherefore.  I pray that God will wrap the family in His loving arms, and that wonderful memories comfort them.

On July 9, 2020, one of Georgia’s finest was taken from us.  Randy Dennis made the world a better place, during his short time on this earth.  He loved his family and friends with all of his heart, putting them first in all of his decisions. He was loving, kind, patient, loyal, funny, a perfectionist and an awesome mentor.  He made a difference in the life of others he came in contact with. He truly cared about making life better, while living it to its fullest. My dearest friend, rest in peace and know I will always miss you.  You took a piece of my heart with you  when you left this world  too soon!

Leanne, Rachel and Amanda our family is so sorry for your loss. Randy will truly be missed. Randy had a positive effect on everyone he came in contact with.
I first me Randy as opposing coaches on the softball field. We immediately hit it off and decided to combine players from both teams. We coached together for the next seven years and built very competitive fastpitch softball team.  Much of this success was due to Randy’s knowledge of the game, coaching skills and energetic, likable personality.
My favorite memories of Randy are when we would  sit around the hotel pool during softball tournaments, trading jokes, telling stories and strategizing the next days games.  He will be missed.

Randy was a fraternity brother. Quick with a smile and a great guy. My sympathies to his family. The world will not be the same without him.

I remember the first time I met Randy at the AOC and he told me a corny joke and I laughed because he was so good at telling them.  He was always smiling and I always loved it when he had to give reports at the AOC Staff Meetings because I knew it would be entertaining.  He will be tremendously missed by so many. Prayers for peace and comfort to Leanne and their girls and the rest of the family.  

Our thoughts and prayers to the Dennis family. We have known Randy all his life.  His mother, Sybil, and father, Horace, along with Randy and his brothers, Rob, and Ric, were friends of ours for over 55 years. Our children grew up together in Manchester, Ga and our friendship deepened over the years.  Randy's mom would often tell me how Randy and his two brothers would help them around the house as she and her husband grew older.  They truly loved their three sons and their families! 
Our heartfelt prayers to the Dennis family. May God wrap His loving arms around each of you and give you peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Randy was like a brother to me and always my go-to fellow for work and life philosophies. We both enjoyed the same silly sense of humor and has so much fun quoting our favorite movies. I'm with tremendous sorrow for the loss of Randy and will really miss him.  I offer my deepest sympathy and concern for his family and wish they find solace during this difficult time.   

Randy was my immediate supervisor at the Administrative Office of the Courts for 16 years.  He was such a great boss and made working for him so much fun. We were always cutting up with one another.  Sometimes he would just walk over to my office and tell me a joke and leave.  He was a mess and always had me laughing.  He was a great family man and I know how much he loved his family because he talked about them all the time.  My thoughts and prayers are with Leanne, Rachel, Amanda and the rest of his family.  

Such a great loss to so many.  I worked with Randy for 10+ years when he was with the Administrative Office of the Courts.  He was one of the best mentors and friends, teaching me so much and supporting me throughout my career.   I am truly thankful to have known him and called him a friend.  I send my love and prayers to Leanne and the girls.

Randy and I grew up together in Manchester, GA.  We worked together at Roosevelt's Little White House.  We went to school together at West Georgia and I remember when he met Leanne and was crazy about her.  We used to ride together in his volkswagon bug to the Little White House and have wheelchair races in FDR's little cottage with Molly Hendricks.  Always free spirited and fun loving.  He will forever hold a special place in my heart.  He was on of my very best friends growing up in Manchester.  RIP sweet friend.  Love, Mel

So many memories of my dear friend, it’s hard to pick just one. He was a fun loving man who talked about his family all the time. My thing is the jokes  and stories he used to tell and the sound effects he made when he told them. My husband Curtis and I would always look at each other and just laugh.   Making people laugh was high on his list of priorities.   He could put a smile on your face with very little or no effort.  You will always be missed by our family.

Randy was my boss for 10+ years.  He was thoughtful and considered when it came to family.  He listened and understood any problems I had with my family.  When I had a problem within my family and I need time off he would say family is more important than any thing take care of them and work is secondary.  I loved him for that.  He was the best boss I ever had.  He made sure his staff stayed connected by having occasional breakfast staff meeting, staff meeting at his house and lunch together.  He will loved and missed by all have known him.

In times like these it is hard to find the right words! My heart breaks for Leanne and his two girls! However, I hope they will find peace and cherish the memories of a wonderful husband and father! I consider Randy a friend as we shared a few rounds of golf and many a laugh together! We mainly knew each other through GA FMC/work and I looked forward to reconnecting with him each year. He was always smiling, good for a few jokes and never took things too seriously.  One heck of a guy who will be missed by all! His family will remain in my prayers!! Kenley

I first met Randy the morning after Victor’s( my husband) bachelor party 19 years ago. I guess they had a great time because I had to drive Randy to his car the next day and I knew right then he was a kind, gentle and loving person. I knew Randy was special to Victor (and Leeanne) and so therefore Randy and the family would become and always be special to me. 

We have loved watching the girls grow and sharing our boys’ growth with you all. We Harrison’s will always be here for you, Leeanne, and the girls. We will keep you in our prayers and thoughts always. 

I first met Randy when he was with the AOC and I with the Council of Juvenile Court Judges.  We then connected again when Amanda and my son Brady were in the same grade at Pope High School.  She played softball and he played baseball.  We talked many times about both sports.  He loved that his girls played softball and there were many stories exchanged between us about high school and travel ball. 

Dennis family, Randy was great man respected by many in state government. I can vouch for that!  He will be missed.

Hello. I worked at TRS with Randy. Just want you to know he was great to work with! Always smiling.  When we would bump into each other in our office building we would always have a “whose got the best joke today” contest.  I will miss him. May he Rest In Peace.

Randy was such an amazing person with a great big heart and sense of humor - an absolute pleasure to work with.  He was a valued member of both the Georgia United Board of Directors as well our GUCU Foundation Executive Board,  and I personally appreciated his patient guidance and expertise on all things State/TRS over the years.
