It is with deep sadness we share the passing of Steven Lee Hane at the age 46 on September 4th, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia. Steve departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and cherished memories.
Steve was a proud native of St. Petersburg, Florida, born to his loving parents, to Ellen and Philip Hane. He had a deep passion for golf, sports, music, and an unwavering dedication to the Florida Gators. He was an accomplished drummer and continued to play regularly. Above all, he cherished moments with his wife, Jill Thomas-Hane and their beloved dog, Milly. Together, they shared the joys of playing playing golf together, watching sporting events and many adventures traveling. Steve’s heart was as big as his love for life. He dedicated much of his time and efforts to making a positive difference in the community, always eager to lend a helping hand. No task was too great or too small for Steve, as he consistently proved that kindness knows no bounds.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Jill, stepdaughter Taylor, stepson Jacob, along with his parents, Ellen and Philip Hane, brother Philip, sister Tanya and niece Alexandra. Steve touched each of their lives and leaves behind a void that can never be filled.
In the coming weeks, a private family service will be held in Steve's beloved home state of Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University (gift.duke.edu).
Join us in celebrating the vibrant life of Steve and sharing your cherished memories of him. Though he may be out of sight, his spirit will forever reside in our hearts. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and condolences during this challenging time.
