Ronald was born on January 29, 1972, in Knoxville, TN to Peggy Ann Johnson-Toms and Ronald Toms Sr. (Mary Toms). After Ron Jr. graduated from Austin East High School in 1990, he went on to study Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Tech University.
Ron Jr. graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He pursued a fulfilling career in mechanical engineering at Yanfeng International Automotive Technology Co. as the Director of Operations where he worked for 26 years. He was known for his dedication, hard work, and the positive impact he made on his colleagues and clients.
In his personal life, Ron Jr. was passionate about sports, often spending his time watching the New York Knicks and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His enthusiasm for the Knicks and Steelers was infectious and brought joy to everyone around him. He was passionate about education and an advocate for young people becoming successful. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones and traveling around the world.
Ron Jr. was preceding in death by grandparents Barbara Ruth Toms, Russel E. Toms (Pat Toms), and Jessie Bell Styles, beloved uncles William Victor Toms Sr. and Allen E. Toms, and beloved aunt Juanita Cannon. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Debra Toms, parents Peggy and Ronald (Mary), devoted sister Marcia Toms, bonus brother Jason Singleton, beautiful daughters Jaryn Toms, Jiah-Rebekah Israel (Peniel-Melech Israel) and stepdaughters Jacquara Harris and D’Asia Baldwin (Daniel Baldwin), and beautiful grandchildren Leeor, Shema, Bat, Kaidence, and Kaleb. A loyal cousin/best friend William Victor Toms Jr., nephew Christian Bowman, and niece Aerin Pruitt. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. His legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
To his family, friends, and co-workers, Ron Jr. was a source of unwavering support and love. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, cherished friend, mentor, and dedicated director of operations. Sharing countless memories, adventures, laughs and a love that will be treasured forever.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held on June 22nd at 1pm at Roswell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Ronald Toms Jr. College Engineering Scholarship for in loving memory of Ronald Toms Jr.
