Graduating from the University of Connecticut and later Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio completing his Doctor of Medicine degree.
Michael could be described as many things to many people, but his mark and legacy could be summed up with one simple word, caring. Specializing in pediatrics, Michael had a calling for treating children with special needs. He carried a level of compassion and thoughtfulness throughout his career, from having a carousel outside of his practice for the children to spending his philanthropic work at children shelters and donating to many children’s charities. Giving back was important to Michael and making sure the future generation was cared was essential to his character and what her stood for.
It was at a charity event for the Calvary Children’s Home that Michael met the love of his life, Linda. They bonded and fell in love over their love for caring for less fortunate children. 8 years together created a lifetime of love and memories that Linda will hold dear forever.
When Michael wasn’t caring for others, he indulged in hobbies that brought him much joy. His loved for cars, landed him at many Formula 1 races, seeing Ferraris were his favorite. He enjoyed being on the waters aboard Azimut and Italian Yachts. Michael was also an avid classic guitar collector; most adorn with autographs from some of his favorite artist.
Michael lived a life of laughter, care, and enjoyment and the world is a better place having had Michael a part of it.
Left to carry of his great legacy is his doting wife, Linda; amazing and beloved children, Brennan and Paige Healey; sisters, Cathy Larson and Nanci Langhorst and brother, Jack Healey and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 4:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00pm at Roswell Funeral Home.
The family requests that donation be made to the Calvary Children’s Home in Powder Springs, Georgia or a children’s charity that may touch your heart.
