I was so incredibly blessed to work for Larry oh so many years ago at C&S. He took a chance on me and taught me so much, but his faith in me taught me even more. I will forever be grateful for his friendship and the Wheeler family. Keeping Julie, Marc and Lauren in my prayers always.  ❤️ T

I have known Larry for his last three years. I'm grateful to have had an opportunity to share a quality time with him . He has been a social,  kind, gentle,  caring and good hearted man. I loved and admired how he embraced his family with a lot of passion.  May his soul RIP eternally.   "IT IS WELL."

I have known Larry and Julie all of my life.   Larry and I shared many Sundays at Emory Presbyterian Church next to DHHS.  Julie and I were best friends early in elementary school and her Grandmother was my first piano teacher.  I remember the last time I saw Larry was at a casual gathering of his and Bill's 1963 DHHS Class.  He looked wonderful and as always asking about our families.  Such a sweet, kindhearted man!  I know so many of you knew him better than I as an adult, but his presence was always the same, kind, gentle, thoughtful.  I know the Wheeler Family will be very busy the next few days and weeks, and I will pray unceasingly that God's mercy and grace will cover them.

Larry and I were both leaders of our Senior class at Druid Hills, and I always had the utmost respect for his character and high standards. He was a  fine, fine person, and I loved being around him and working with him on many school projects. We have lost a loved a revered member of our community who left his mark on all of us who remember him.

Larry and my husband John, and Son are now in the after life together after being Best Friends , Best man at our Wedding and God Father to our son Bryan.
Larry was a true friend in every sense of the word, he will be sorely missed..

I am so sad to hear of our dear friend,and Druid Hills classmate, Larry’s passing.  He was such a nice and considerate person. He was a leader in high school, just like he was throughout his life. He was always on board with planning our reunions.  He will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. 
My thoughts and prayers are with Julie and his family as you go through this time of loss.

As has been said already, a really good guy.  "Wheels" as my old friend Ed Kurt used to call him, was a good friend and a very well thought of colleague.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family  and I pray that God will wrap them tightly in His Grace at this sad time.

RIP, Old Friend. I have many fond memories of our years together at C&S Bank. When you managed our Los Angeles office, we had a number of productive and enjoyable business trips traveling up and down the West Coast. You were usually one of the top two business development producers in Corporate Banking. Then you went on to have equal success running the Corporate Bank for our Florida franchise and finally in our Retail Banking Group in Cobb County.

You were a master of malapropisms, like sweave, and spoonerisms, like wet she turt contest and hounds top tooth. Two words you taught me.  More importantly,  you were an all-around good guy, a good colleague and a great friend.

You and your family will be in my heart and prayers. I’ll be thinking of you on my birthday in 5 minutes. God bless.

My condolences to the Wheeler family.  You are a very special family to me and I thank you for sharing this special man with me.  Larry meant so much to me  over the almost 40 years I have had the honor of knowing him.  He was a true gentleman and always treated me like family.  I’m so thankful I got to spend some quality time with him over the last few years.  We shared many laughs, some tears, and some  great conversations.  He truly cared about me and my family.  Rest in peace my dear friend.  You will be missed🙏❤️
