Julie was born on May 22, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Patricia and Edgar Graham. She wed her beloved husband, Edward Joseph Wegener, on May 9, 1959. They were happily married for 60 years. She was a dearly loved home maker and raised 6 wonderful children. She will be always be remembered for her love for giving, her warm smile, and positive impact that she had on so many lives including her family that she so relentlessly cared for.
She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and St. Brigid Catholic Church. She was active with Meals on Wheels, Country Club of the South Charity Guild, and Circle for Children. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in book club, Tasters, Ladies Night - Night Out, Huntcliff lunch bunch, Huntcliff Birthday Gals, and Morning Church Women’s Group/”Bagel Ladies.”
Julie Wegener was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Edgar Graham, and her brother, Robert “Bob” Edgar Graham.
Survivors include beloved husband of 60 years, Edward Joseph Wegener; 6 children: Mark Edward Wegener and wife Carrie, Paul Joseph Wegener, Diane Therese Wegener, Mary Beth Wegener, Scott Thomas Wegener and Dawn Slowikowski, and Christopher John Wegener and wife Lindsay; 7 Grandchildren, Ashley Dykes Griffin and husband Cory, Caroline Elizabeth Wegener, William Christopher Wegener, John Paul Wegener, Emory Ann Wegener, Lilly Kate Wegener, Jackson Christopher Wegener; and Great Grandchild, James Wesley Griffin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 7:00-8:30pm at St. Brigid Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Brigid Catholic Church, reception to follow.
