Grace Elizabeth (Hardeman) Chatham peacefully went home to be with her Savior on January 18, 2015. She was born in Atlanta (Buckhead) on April 19, 1922. She graduated from North Fulton High School and later worked with the United States Military Recruitment Division. On December 6, 1947 she married J. Howard Chatham, and they had a wonderful life together for 66 years. She was a current founding member of Northside Baptist Church (Roswell) as well as a founding member of Castleberry Road Baptist Church (Cumming). Grace faithfully devoted her life to her church where she taught both children’s and ladies Sunday School classes. Her church and family were the center of her world. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Her family and friends will forever remember her kindness, humility and the embodiment of a Proverbs 31 woman. She is preceded in death by her husband J. Howard Chatham, her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Grace is survived by her children David and Rhonda Chatham, Ken Chatham, Tim Chatham, and Jan and Richard Smythe; her grandchildren Gabe and Mellette Chatham, Myles and Brooke Chatham, Lance Chatham, Sydney and Chase Dalton, Cassie Chatham, Paul Chatham, Chelsea Chatham, Jake Chatham, Rachel Smythe, Emily Smythe; and her great grandchildren Brianna Ray, Katelyn Chatham, Faith Chatham, Maddox Chatham, and Ella Chatham. The family would like to offer a special thanks to all of her caregivers and Longleaf Hospice. Visitation services will be held at Roswell Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 20th from 4:00- 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Roswell at 11:00am on Wednesday January 21st.
