Frank Milton James, 81, of Roswell, Georgia passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family on January 21, 2023. He suffered from Parkinson's Disease for almost 10 years. His perseverance in the fight has been inspiring.
Frank was born on March 1, 1941 in Danville, Virginia to the late Martha Langley and Raymond James.
A lover of sports, Frank enjoyed playing, watching and even coaching. He loved Western movies and he should have been a cowboy. He loved the great outdoors and the peace it brought him. Most of all, Frank adored spending time with his family and creating memories they will cherish forever.
Frank met the love of his life Lois Gail Wakefield in Avondale GA and they spent 61 years together.
Their union blessed them with two amazing children, Kimberly and Frank. Family was important to Frank, making sure they were taken care of, felt loved and created moments that would last them a lifetime.
Along with his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his stepmother, Geraldine James.
Left to carry his love is his wife, Gail James; daughter, Kimberly Swanson; son, Frank H. James; grandkids: Joshua Swanson, Caroline Swanson, Tegan James, and Bryn James; sisters: Jeannie Sharp, Robin Holcombe, Frankie Elkins, and Sandy James Morris; nephews, Jeremy Keyser and Don Wakefield; nieces, Krista Meadows and Misty Sharp; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Jodi Keyser and many extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home. The family has asked that you wear casual attire. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the home of Don and Jodi Keyser at 10865 Shagbark Trail Roswell, Georgia 30076.
