Everton was born on December 1, 1954, in Kingston, Jamaica. He attended the prestigious Kingston College High School for boys. After graduating in 1971, he immigrated to New York where he attended Brooklyn College. He graduated with a BA degree in Communications with a minor in Computer Science. He later obtained his MBA from University of New Haven.
In 1985, Everton joined IBM as a Systems Programmer. After nine years at IBM, he continued his career as an Independent Programming Consultant. Everton consulted for numerous corporations including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, Lowes, UPS, Macys, as well as government agencies: NASA, City of Sanford Florida, State of Georgia, and Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Everton was a founding member and President of Kingston College Old Boys Association (KCOBA) Georgia Inc. He was an active member and spared no effort in support of his beloved alma mater. Everton authored and published his memoire, “Black Man Rising,” in 2020.
Everton was a very loving and devoted husband and father who extolled the virtues of education. His kindness, generosity, and great sense of humor will always be remembered.
Everton is survived by his Wife of thirty-four years, Arlene, mother Joyce, daughter Natasha (Tasha), sons Levar, Omar, Marlon, and Khalil and four grandchildren, brothers Michael, Ken and John, sisters Carol and Jackie, niece Jodi and nephew Roy.
