Dolores S. Marshall passed away peacefully on February 9th at the age of 84. Dolores was the daughter of William F. & Edith Schnitzler and sister of William R. Schnitzler. She was born in Newark, New Jersey.
Dolores was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and dear friend to many. Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband, F Lewis (Lew) Marshall III. Dolores (and Lew) were known for their love of family and friends and their involvement in their respective communities over the years. Dolores was Lew’s rock and support in all of his many endeavors. Her devotion was to her family and extended family. Dolores had a deep dedication and involvement in her boys’ activities s from sports at a young age, through high school and college and even into their young adult lives. She then continued that love and support for her Grand-Children attending every activity she could through the years.
Dolores was blessed with so many incredible people in her life and had many long-lasting friendships throughout her life. She also greatly enjoyed having younger people in her life. Dolores loved her son’s friends and even many of her grandchildren’s friends over the years. The number of people that have recently commented that “She was like a second Mom to me” is a testament to her love of others. Dolores was a care-giver to so many. From raising her boys, to caring for sick family members and parents and finally the years of caring for Lew during his battle with Cancer. She will forever be known for her sense of humor and her love of a good laugh. As she said herself many times, she loved to “tease”. And the more you were “teased”, the more you were “loved”.
Dolores will be deeply missed by her sons F. Lewis Marshall (Bonny) and Keith W. Marshall (Lisa), grandchildren Sydney Toggweiler (Craig), Tyler Marshall (Lexi), Alex Marshall, Clayton Marshall and Ayden Marshall, and great-grandson Cameron Toggweiler…along with a host of extended family and friends.
A Private Family Service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Roswell Funeral Home & Green Lawn Cemetery to celebrate Dolores’ life and honor her contributions to our world.
Flowers will be accepted or if you choose, the family requests donations in memory of her husband F. Lewis Marshall III to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. (carcinoid.org).
Dolores’ departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her legacy will forever be cherished.
