Catherine Regina Maldonado

Catherine O’Connor Maldonado, of Johns Creek, GA passed away on September 22, 2023 after a brave battle with Alzheimer ’s disease. Cathy was born on January 17, 1963 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Elaine Fiore and Robert (Bob) O’Connor.

Throughout her life, Cathy achieved many wonderful accomplishments, but her proudest was her family. In 1981, Cathy met the love of her life, Alex. They were married in 1983 in Minnesota where their first son Ryan was born in 1984, and second son Eric followed three years later. Cathy and Alex settled in Minnesota to be near family, namely Bob and Venita who are better known to the family as G’pa and G’ma. The family moved to Georgia in 1995 where they put down roots and began living their busy life. Cathy studied childcare and was proud to manage “Kids Stay n’ Play” in Roswell GA. There she made some great friends, memories and formed a wonderful community around her and the family. They attended church at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek and were very active in the boy’s school activities. In 2006, Cathy and Alex welcomed their daughter Allie to the world. With that, their family was complete.

Cathy will be deeply missed by her husband, Alex; daughter, Allie; sons, Ryan and Eric, along with their partners Katie and Dόnal. Cathy is mourned by her siblings: Bobby, Kevin, Stephanie, and Tony along with her parents, Robert and Venita and the entire extended family.

Memorial service to be held at 12pm on Wednesday November 22, 2023 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek, GA.
