Betty (Beth) Lou Kirk, at age 83, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024. She was born on April 4, 1941, to the late Hoyt and Mary Lou Cagle in Atlanta, Ga. She grew up in Sandy Springs and graduated from Roswell High School in 1959. Beth married the love of life, Jasper Kirk, on April 5, 1963, and they settled in Roswell, where they raised their three daughters.
Beth was the beloved wife of Jasper Kirk, mother of Ginger Kirk, Cheryl Kirk, and Andrea Perry, and grandmother of William Perry. She was known for her smile and a personality everyone fell in love with from the moment they met her, and her dedication to family, friends, art, Jaycettes, and the Roswell community made her a well-known person who had many friends.
Beth was woman of many talents and achievements, who dedicated her life to serving others and making the world a better place. She had a successful career as a real estate agent at Northside Reality, where she helped many families find their dream homes. She was also a leader in the Roswell Community, where she volunteered with the Roswell Jaycettes, a women’s service organization that supported various causes and projects. She was passionate about arts and painting, and she was a member of the Roswell Art Alliance, a group of local artists who exhibited their works and promoted the arts in the city. Beth worked at the Roswell Arts Festival for many years, helping to organize and showcase the talent and creativity of the community. She touched the lives of countless individuals through her love and beautiful smile that could light up a room. Beth was always the first to initiate hosting events to bring together friends and family and ensure they all stay connected. She enjoyed the company of friends and family, never met a stranger, and brought happiness to them all. We know her spirit will live on in every heart she touched through the love she gave. You could not be around her without feeling her love for you. She always brought joy to all those around her. She was a "mother" to many kids around Roswell as her kids were growing up. Everyone knew her as a mom, and they could come to talk problems out.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters and grandson, brother Walter and wife Patti Cagle, sister-in-law Sandra Davis, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Jasper Kirk, sister Mary Jane Smith, and parents Hoyt and Mary Lou Cagle.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 24, 2024, at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road Roswell, to celebrate Beth's life and honor her contributions to our world.
