Betty was born on January 21, 1934, in Evanston, Illinois, to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Proesch.
She completed a nursing degree from the Children’s Hospital of Boston. After nurturing and growing her beautiful family, she later went on to earn her certification as a Registered Rehabilitation Nurse at North Fulton Hospital for 10 years. Betty spent her retirement years as a private duty nurse for 20 years in the Roswell area.
Betty and her husband, John, met as teenagers, fell in love, and were happily married for 66 years. They were blessed to have and nurture five loving children: John, Cathy, Debbie, Kevin, and Mary. The love they shared created memories that will be remembered and cherished forever.
She was a very kind, generous, and tender soul. Betty was always there for anyone in need. Her greatest pleasure was being a grandmother and great- grandmother. Family was most important and by far her greatest accomplishment.
Betty was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her life and love for her family and friends will always be cherished in the lives who knew her.
Betty Ann Hunter is survived by her loving husband, John; children; John, Cathy, Debbie, Kevin, Mary and their spouses; sister, Mary Jayne Kolouch; 13 grandchildren; 2 great- grandchildren and countless relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Agape Hospice Care Marietta.
