Angie was born on December 14, 1949, to William and Phyllis Johnson. The eldest of four children, she attended Roswell High School and later, Georgia State University.
In 1977, she had a daughter, Jordan Leslie Johnson, with her first husband, Daniel Parker Johnson. She married Thomas Eugene Cumbie in 1984. Angie and Tom celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2009.
Angie was a member of Roswell United Methodist Church and an active member of the Roswell community. She loved to cook, read, visit the beach, and spend time with those she loved. Those she leaves behind celebrate her sweet, vivacious spirit, her gentle kindness, her generosity, and her irrepressible sense of humor.
Angie is survived by her husband, Thomas Eugene Cumbie; her mother, Phyllis Johnson Springfield; her daughter, Jordan Johnson Kuhn and son-in-law Frederick Kuhn; her stepchildren Christopher and Kelly Cumbie and Warren and Karen Porado; her step-grandchildren Justin and Joshua Cumbie; her sister Robin Johnson Gray; her sister Bambi Johnson Womack; her brother William Johnson, Jr.; her good friends Judy Ficken and Pat Souza; and nieces and nephews Eric Gray, Tyler and William Womack, and Quinn and Ara Johnson.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Roswell Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17 at 10am at Roswell United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Angie’s memory to the American Heart Association.
