The art of Ria, with a true lust for life, she was the definition of an artist and humanitarian full of compassion and living with charity in her heART. She founded B-Kind Art and Detroit is not Dead, in hopes of building community and reviving the city through art and music while paying it forward and reminding everyone to be kind always. She supported many causes such as Families Against Narcotics, Six Feet Above, 7 Inches in Heaven, Grind to Greatness, Division Gallery, and Feral Grounds, just to name a few.
Maria loved being a mother, and yearned to share her life with her boys. She wanted nothing more to make them proud and show them boundless unconditional love.
She did all things with purpose and passion, including each of her beloved tattoos. With a spirit of a child she loved to laugh, and be goofy, dancing and singing, playing jokes, dressing up, and telling people she’d cut them... well that wasn’t always joke. She saw, loved, and accepted those around her with a capacity most will never understand in a lifetime. She never missed a train, sunset, sunrise or the opportunity to tell her family how much they meant to her.
Maria is survived by her two beloved sons Rodmen John Dexter 14, and Dylan Robert Dexter 10, Grandmother Victoria Noriega, her parents John Noriega, Barbara (Tom)Beatty, siblings, Juan (Aleshia)Noriega, Joseph(Tamara)Noriega, Ana (John)Ebright , Rene Nimbach, Terra (Tremell) Chamberlin , Marilyn Nimbach, Nicholas(Antoinette) Guziak, Lauren(Raul) Guziak.
