She was born on June 28, 1929 to her two loving parents, Antonio and Santina Zanetta, who immigrated from Northern Italy in the early 1920's. In 1927, they settled in rural Orangevale, California where they proudly became citizens of their new country. Teresa always admired her parents for their hard work and making a good life in America.
Teresa was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Norman Watts, brother Fred Zanetta and sister Margaret Fisher. She is survived by her daughters Deborah and Tracey, son-in-law Gordon, grandchildren Brianna and Jacob, sister Deanna Freeman, sister-in-law Pat Zanetta and many nieces and nephews who all contributed in creating her large extended family.
Teresa graduated from San Juan High School with honors and immediately joined the workforce as a secretary. She worked 10 years for Slawson Insurance Agency and worked the next 30 years for Aerojet, both in Rancho Cordova and Idaho. She later moved to Roseville, California, but never lost her country roots.
After retirement, she was invited by friends to help form a senior tap-dancing group, The Sunrise Tappers. Those were 25 years of fun, learning routines, making costumes and preparing for shows. She loved to dance and was told that she had great legs, being the tallest member, they were the longest.
Her family was precious to her, as were her many friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Divine Savior Catholic Church in Orangevale on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.LambertFuneral.com for the Watts family.
