A memorial for Nadine Riley will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday May 19, 2018 at Hillcrest Alliance Church, 911 Hillcrest Avenue Roseville, CA.
Nadine was born in Arjay, Kentucky and raised in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She graduated from Saxton High School and went to Cumberland Junior College in Wiliamsburg, and Nazareth College in Louisville, Kentucky. Nadine was a certified Medical Technologist as defined by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
While working as a medical technologist in Morganfield, Kentucky, Nadine met her husband, Claude T. Riley, who was serving in the Army during World War II. Claude and Nadine married on June 1, 1945 and had a son, Michael Steven Riley in 1949.
They moved from Kentucky to Sacramento, California in 1950. They owned and operated the Nighthawk and Bobless Bars in North Sacramento. Later, they owned and operated Suburban Carwash and Madison Avenue Carwash in Sacramento. They retired in 1979 and moved to Roseville. Claude passed away in 1984 and her only son Michael in 1989.
Nadine is dearly loved and survived by her grandchildren, John Riley of Loomis and Colleen Nettleton of Placerville, and their spouses Connie Riley and Jeff Nettleton, four great grandchildren; Avery, Gavin and Kalan Riley and Austin Nettleton. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty Riley Simpson, and Betty’s current husband Michael Simpson. Nadine found a wonderful circle of friends at the Hillcrest Alliance Church who she dearly loved.
Interment will be at Roseville District Cemetery.
