At the time, he was survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lena (since deceased), daughter Julie (Alan) and grandson Trevor (Magali). He is also survived by his sister Pam (Charles), his brother Peter (Yvonne), and sister-in-law Sylvie (late Alan) and his nephews, Paul, Mark and nieces Susan and Jennifer in England, and extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his beloved son Ian Colin and his brother -in-law Brian. His family and friends will always remember his immensely generous heart and willingness to help anyone in need. He had the quirky British wit and great sense of humour. He is greatly missed.
Ken was born on March 10th,1933, in Southampton, Hampshire, England and married his wife Lena in 1954.
In 1951, he was conscripted into the Services and chose a Short-Term Commission in the RAF, as a Flight Lieutenant. Trained as a pilot, he became an enthusiastic flyer with many interesting stories of his solo flights. He was very disappointed to have his flying career terminated due to frequent migraines. On leaving the RAF, he made his career in aircraft engineering as a Stress-man.
Following his leaving the RAF, the family immigrated to Brampton, Ontario in 1964 before finally settling in Rosemere, Quebec where upon he was employed by Canadair.
He was artistic like his wife, but his interest lay in creating miniature models of aircraft, people, and the like.
Donations to the Canada Diabetes Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
