Born on March 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Willie "Sue", and Eddie Cromer. She was also preceded in death by husband's Eual Mchugh, William "Bill" Soules, and L. H. Padgett, and siblings O'Neil Cromer, Charlcie Cromer, James Cromer, Deborah Palmer, and Eddie Cromer Jr, and step children, Billy Soules and Susan Soules Bailey.
Sue moved to Rome in the 1950's and worked in admin at Celanese. Sue and her husband opened New England Antiques in the old train depot in East Rome, later she opened Rome Rug Gallery, until she retired.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Mchugh, Rome, a daughter, Susan Mchugh Carnes Dunn (Peter), Cartersville, grandchildren Christopher Carnes, and Joshua Carnes (Kelli), all of Cartersville, sisters Gail Eaves (Tommy), Ellen Hyde (David), brothers, Kenneth Cromer (Melissa), and Howard Cromer.
Sue was a member of the Etowah Chapter#30 Eastern Star Order. She loved reading her Bible and going to church until her health declined. She missed her many friends at Sherwood Forest Baptist Church.
